AI Technique Analysis for Your Erg Stroke
Upload a 15-second video of your rowing stroke and get instant AI feedback. The analysis scores each phase of your technique — catch, drive, finish, and recovery — and tells you exactly what to fix and which drills to use.
Upload a 15-second side-view rowing video and ErgManiac's AI analyzes your stroke technique. It scores each phase (catch, drive, finish, recovery), identifies sequencing errors, and provides corrective drills prioritized by impact.
Best for: Rowers who want objective technique feedback without a coach watching every session.
- ✓Per-phase scoring (catch, drive, finish, recovery)
- ✓Identifies top 1-3 technique priorities
- ✓Provides specific corrective drills
Limitations: Requires a side-view video with full body visible. Currently supports single-person analysis.
How it works
Film your stroke
Record a 15-second side-view video. Position camera at seat height, 2-3 meters from the erg.
Upload the video
Go to the Technique tab and upload. AI extracts frames and analyzes your body positions frame by frame.
Get your feedback
Per-phase scores, specific corrections, top priorities, and recommended drills. Know exactly what to fix first.
What the AI analyzes
Catch position
Shin angle, forward body lean, arm extension, hip hinge vs spine rounding, and overall compression.
Drive sequence
Leg-back-arm sequencing, connection (seat-handle sync), back opening timing, and arm pull timing.
Finish position
Layback angle, handle height, elbow position, wrist alignment, and overall extraction quality.
Recovery sequence
Arms-body-legs ordering, slide control, body rock-over timing, and drive-to-recovery ratio.
What you get in the report
Overall score (1-100)
A single number that tracks your technique improvement over time. Compare your scores month to month.
Per-phase scores
Individual scores for catch, drive, finish, and recovery so you know exactly where to focus.
Top 3 priorities
The most impactful changes to make first. Don't try to fix everything at once — fix what matters most.
Corrective drills
Specific drills matched to your errors: feet-out rowing, pause drills, pick drills, and more.
